An Earthquake of Solidarity

In 2016 and 2017, central Italy was struck by violent earthquakes that displaced thousands and caused more than 300 deaths.
Years later, many are still living in temporary housing and containers as homes are uninhabitable, because of the Italian government slow operational solutions.

In the last three years almost one hundred European ESC volunteers have brought their support and solidarity in the provinces of the areas most affected by the earthquakes.

Primi Piani had the task to train some of these volunteers on video-making and photography in order to explore the stories, promote the work of the associations and report the situation.
